Dog Walking

At Modern Pet our dog walking services are perfect for dogs with various needs from one on one time to small group walks for dogs who need a little socialization. We are certified dog trainers and have experience walking and caring for a huge variety of dogs from newborn puppies to senior pooches and breeds as diverse as tiny Chihuahuas to giant Burnese Mountain Dogs and everything in between. We offer flexible scheduling and convenient online billing. Our rates are affordable, comparable and often less expensive than our peers and the apps, and we NEVER have any cancellation fees. We are reliable and customers love our attention to communication and service. Why hire a part-time gig worker from an app based out of state to walk your dog? Cat Care

We are one of the most experienced cat care services in the city. People love our reliability , communication, and affordale rates. We offer convenient online scheduling and billing. We offer evening, weekend, and holiday services and have experience with a variety of medications. And we NEVER have any cancellation fees. When we take you on as a client you can expect a reliable quality cat sitter that you can count on for years to come.

Dog Boarding & Vacation Care

At Modern Pet we offer a variety of options for people who need help with their dogs when they are out of town. For dogs most comfortable staying at home we offer come and go visits where we will drop in to feed, walk, and play multiple times throughout the day. For dogs that are comfortable with socialization we offer cage-free boarding in our home or in the home of one of our trusted experienced sitters. Boarding includes four dog walks per day, socializtion, feeding, playing, medications and pet taxi to and from your home. You can count on us to provide true 24-hour loving care for your precious pooch.

P R I C I N G

Our dog walking and care prices are divided into three tiers based upon how frequently you use our services. If you hire us to walk your dog 5 times a week or more you qualify for our discounted plan. Our standard rates are for those who who are on a regular schedule of 2-4 walks a week. Our occasional rate is for clients that are on call and use our services sporadically. Cat care rates are standard for all clients. Click below to view all of our current rates.

We love Modern Pet! Kris and Israel have been our go-to cat sitters for the past eight years. They are incredibly reliable, patient and competent with administering medication and supplements (it's always something with our cats), and always provide compassionate and quality care for our two cats. Our older cat has some behavioral issues, and he unfortunately can get fractious with strangers, so coordinating his care when we're away can be stressful. However, Kris and Israel have magically earned his trust, and he's as friendly with them as he is with us. They also go above and beyond during their visits by bringing in packages, looking after plants, etc. Once they even helped me out when I lost my keys and was locked out of my apartment! We love that they are a small, independent local business. They are kind, attentive, reliable, trustworthy, funny, just plain nice people, and really seem to love what they do. I used Modern Pet for the four years I lived in Ukrainian Village at two locations and they never missed a beat. Dog walks, cat sitting, and overnights, everything went off without a hitch.
